Winter Foursomes Finalists Confirmed

This years winter foursomes final will take place at Irvine Golf Club on Sunday 20 February at 1330 The first semi final was a repeat of last years final with the holders, Janet Harkness and Elspeth Hamilton (Skelmorlie) making the trip to St Nicholas to play Susan McKenzie (Balfron) and Ann Wallace (St Nicholas) Susan and Ann had a commanding lead at the turn but they were pegged back on the back 9 with Janet and Elspeth squaring the match on 18. Susan and Ann held their nerve to win on the 19th hole and book their place in the final. In the other match Katie Hodge and June Dempster (St Nicholas) headed to Loudoun to take on the formidable pairing of Liz Keohone and Audrey Thompson. All the girls played well and a par on 16 was good enough for Liz and Audrey to go through. Spectators welcome at the final, good luck to both teams
