Afternoon Tea!

Eleven of our Past Captains enjoyed an Afternoon Tea at Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Club this afternoon. Margaret Sharp, Troon Ladies, was our longest standing Past Captain present today having served back in 1977-79 and she is pictured alongside Captains from the 80s, 90s, noughties and twenty tens! Junior Coaching

Last night was the first of our Junior coaching sessions at Gailes. It was a very cold night but the girls turned up and thoroughly enjoyed being back. We had 10 pre handicappers from 6pm till 7pm We then had 11 girls with handicap for the second hour

Well done Louise

Huge congratulations to Honorary member Louise Duncan who today secured her Ladies European Tour playing card for 2023 Having come through qualifying to get to the final stages, Louise was the only Scot to make it through to the 5th and final round at La Manga today. Full playing rights were only on offer for the top 20 in the final field of 60. Louise secured her place with a birdie at the final hole to finish joint 17th. Congratulations Louise and all the best for 2023

Hole in One!

Congratulations to Julie Mackie, Troon ladies, who recorded a hole in one at the 10th hole, Portland, during her recent winter foursomes tie. This was Julie's second ace having holed out at the 12th hole at Auchterarder a number of years ago.

AGM and Prizegiving

The AGM was held at Irvine golf club this year where captain Ann Wallace introduced her new Vice Captain, Sara Bottomley. Also coming on to committee are Liz Wilson (President) and Linda Grieve It was nice to welcome our Junior members for the prize giving and they are pictured below with their prizes. Junior secretary Gaynor Russell, is retiring this year, she will be missed but we have 2 new recruits who will be taking over the role, Lesley Barker and Vicki Cameron  In the picture below our juniors are joined by the other prize winners from the senior events this year
