CONNIE CARRIES BATON FOR QUEEN'S BATON RELAY Connie proudly running with the Queen's Baton Congratulations to Connie Jaffrey who carried the Queens baton in Kilwinning yesterday. She certainly is a busy girl, having just returned from representing Scotland in the European Team championship at the weekend she tees it up at 0800 this morning at Dumfries & County Golf Club in defence of her Scottish girls title. Good luck Connie and all the Ayrshire girls taking part - Hazel MacGarvie, Emma Hale, Lauren Gilbert and Emily Glencorse. Secretary

Scottish Senior Ladies' Amateur Championship Alex Glennie 4th July   Alex Glennie (Kilmarnock Barassie) lost 3 and 1 in the final of the Scottish Senior Ladies' Amateur Championship at Elgin against the top qualifier Alison Bartlett of Royal Dornoch Very well done to Alex on her achievements this week. ALEX THROUGH TO THE FINAL Past Captain and Past County Champion Alex Glennie from Kilmarnock Barassie has made it through to the match play final of this years Scottish Senior Ladies Amateur Championship at Elgin.  This morning she beat Fiona De Vries by 2&1 and this afternoon plays top qualifier Alison Bartlett from Royal Dornoch. 'Simply Suppers' Evening On the 25th March around 100 ladies enjoyed our 'Simply Suppers' evening. Our demonstrator Caroline Stuart prepared 4 dishes and a lovely aroma soon permeated the hall.All enjoyed sampling the dishes that had been prepared, and a copy of the recipes can be downloaded by clicking on this link.  A sum of over £700 was raised. SCOTTISH TEAM -UNDER 16 STROKE PLAY Congratulations to Hazel McGarvie (Ladies GC Troon) who has been selected for the under 16 Scottish team stroke play championship which is being held at Strathmore Golf Club 10-11 April
ALEX GLENNIE TO REPRESENT SCOTLAND Alex Glennie (Kilmarnock Barassie) has been selected to represent Scotland in the Senior Women's Home Internationals at Llandudno Maesdu Golf Club in October.
Connie selected to represent Scotland Connie Jaffrey has been selected to represent Scotland in the Women's Home Internationals at Scotscraig from 11-13th September. Connie won 5 out of 6 matches in the Junior Internationals recently so hopefully that success will be a confidence builder for competing at Senior level. Congratulations Connie and very best wishes from all of Ayrshire.

CONNIE JAFFREY WINS SCOTTISH U18S' TITLE Connie Jaffrey, 16-year-old Troon Ladies junior member, added the Scottish Under-18 girls' championship to the Paul Lawrie Foundation Scottish schoolgirls and Ayrshire women's county titles she won earlier in the season. Just back from playing for Scotland in the previous week's European girls team championship in Sweden, Connie beat Tara Mactaggart (Minto), the 17-year-old South of Scotland girls champion, by 4 and 3 in the final at Ranfurly Castle Golf Club. Connie had 6 birdies and was roughly 4 under par for the 15 holes she played. More on juniors page. Connie Connie with June Kerr
